Choosing Cabinet Hardware

How to pick them out?  The best way to find your new hardware is to remove a cabinet door and take it shopping. If you are unable to shop in person, order samples of your top 3 or 4 choices to make sure it will give you the look that you have pictured in your head.

What if you already have cabinet hardware, but just want to replace what you have? The following are extra considerations if REPLACING your hardware:

All the above steps are relevant to replacing your old hardware except for the size. If you will not be refinishing your cabinets, it’d be easiest to find replacement hardware that is the same size as your old hardware so new holes will not have to be drilled. If you did plan on refinishing your cabinets, size won’t be an issue because you can fill in the old holes before applying your new finish.
